Chic ambience for great helpers:
europlac equips fire department and building yard in Metzingen with fine veneer
Bonn/Metzingen. They deserve it: not only have the employees of the fire department and the building yard in Metzingen been given a chic new building, but the interior design now also enriches the hard work of the people. Several rooms in the building, which was designed as a complete complex and is connected via a ramp, shine in a warm wood tone thanks to fine veneer from the Tettnang-based company europlac.
On the one hand, europlac veneers of the "small-grained oak" variety with a thickness of 0.6 mm and, to a lesser extent, knotty oak with a thickness of 1.5 mm were used. The "fillets of the tree", which were pre-filled on both sides and abrasively brushed on one side, were applied to chipboard by europlac at the production site in Topoľčany, Slovakia, and now adorn the meeting rooms and the canteen area of the building, among others.
The veneer supplier's sales representative Andreas Graf was responsible for the project and was in contact with the architects from dasch zürn + partner from Stuttgart & Munich in Tettnang at europlacHOUSE throughout the entire project. "The result is cosy, modern and natural rooms in which the unique veneer stands out attractively from the exposed concrete thanks to its warm color and individual pattern," reports Graf. Habisreutinger, the specialist wood retailer from Weingarten, was responsible for the veneer panels. "Interior design should be a successful combination of aesthetics, functionality and individual style. The creators of the project in Metzingen have succeeded in achieving this in every respect," concludes Ursula Geismann, trend expert and Managing Director of Initiative Furnier + Natur (IFN). IFN/DS
